Patients’ Rights
CardioPrima Medical Center respects patient rights in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, medical ethics standards, and the institution’s internal regulations. Medical activity is based on mutual respect, professional responsibility, and transparency in the relationship with the patient.
We are committed to:
- providing safe and high-quality medical services;
- treating patients with respect and without discrimination;
- delivering care tailored to individual needs;
- informing patients accurately and fully about their health condition;
- respecting the patient’s right to make informed decisions;
- protecting the confidentiality of medical and personal data;
- ensuring respect for dignity and privacy.
Patient Information
The patient has the right to receive clear and accessible information regarding:
- the medical services provided and the qualifications of the medical staff;
- their health condition, diagnosis, and recommended treatments;
- the risks, benefits, and alternatives of medical procedures;
- the possible consequences of refusing or discontinuing treatment.
The patient may request a second medical opinion and may designate a person to be informed on their behalf, in accordance with the law.
Informed Consent
Medical investigations and treatments are performed only with the patient’s consent, expressed through informed consent. The patient has the right to accept or refuse a medical procedure after being informed about the medical implications of their decision.
In the case of minors or patients lacking full legal capacity, consent is provided by the legal representative, with the patient’s involvement whenever possible. In emergency situations, medical decisions are made in the patient’s best interest, in accordance with legal provisions.
Confidentiality and Privacy
All information regarding the patient’s health condition, investigations, treatments, and personal data is confidential. Such information is processed and disclosed only with the patient’s consent or in cases provided by law.
Medical care is provided with respect for privacy, physical and psychological integrity, and professional discretion.
Other Patient Rights
The patient has the right:
- to pain relief and medical care provided with respect for human dignity;
- to the support of family members and close persons, in accordance with internal regulations;
- to choose reproductive health methods within the limits of the law;
- to consent to or refuse photography or video recording during medical procedures.
Suggestions and Complaints
The patient has the right to submit suggestions or complaints regarding medical services and to receive a response within the legal timeframe. These may be submitted at the clinic’s reception or sent by email to info.cardioprima@gmail.com.
